As any 17-year-old knows, the most dreaded part of a college application is the
personal essay. Now myessay.com can lend a helping hand. Kids paste their essay
into an online form, pay $100 with Mom and Dad's credit card (with permission,
of course), then wait up to five days for a detailed email critique from former
Ivy League admissions officers and Rhodes Scholars. The brainstormer section
helps kids pick topics, and the application alert feature warns procrastinators
when their time is up.
